"Like my dad always said, “If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right.” I am so lucky that I have fun every day that I am walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses! I am a single mom to my human son and my furry daughter.  I love them both endlessly……..they are my life! My first dog walking job was at age 10 – Skippy the beagle.  I did multiple walks and vacation visits for Skippy which started me on a lifelong career of pet sitting and dog walking.  I loved it then, and still love it today, especially knowing that I can make doggies and their parents happy.  I have been walking for Walking Wetnoses since 2013, and I always abide by your house rules. Special needs, rescues and older pets always have a special place in my heart.  I am also Pet First Aid certified." -Heather

Meet our Animal "Management Team" Part 1

Good morning bloggers,

We have gotten through most of our dog walkers and pet sitters so now it's time to meet the animals on staff!! We absolutely adore our animals and treat every client's pets with the same love and compassion for our own crew.

Tucker: Chief Groundhog Control Officer
Adopted from PetConnect, Tucker has demonstrated a propensity for groundhog (and raccoon and squirrel and mouse) control – helpful, yes, until he brings his trophies inside to cuddle with them on his dog bed! Smart and friendly, Tucker loves to go on long hacks and nap in the office.

Merlin: Chief Security Officer
Adopted from Save the Tails , Merlin is a momma’s boy, a barn dog, and a generally sweet, friendly, and lazy guy – and greets strangers with lots of barking and grumbling. He likes to keep people guessing on the outside, but spends his days as close to his mom as he can get.

Polly: Chief Greeting Officer
Adopted from PetConnect, Polly’s best skill is making friends. She has never met a stranger, gives out kisses freely and endlessly, and wags her tail so hard her whole body wiggles! She is an expert cuddler – she can outcuddle the other dogs and cats combined.

"My mother devoted the final 20 years of her life to volunteering at the SPCA. It was she who showed me the joy and happiness pets can bring. I have always been graced with the companionship of pets. From shelter adoptees to strays to a Burmese cat family that lived with me their entire lives. From my big childhood Airedale, Duffy, to my tiny Chihuahua mix, Gennie, who is part of my family today. From the Seal-point Siamese cats my grandmother bred to the Lynx-point Siamese that snuggle with us today. I have been blessed with many feline and canine four-legged friends, and I can’t imagine not having pets in my family. I would love the opportunity to share my love with your precious companions" - Lori
